About Us

Allison Brudney has enjoyed animals her entire life. Allison grew up on a small family farm in Pennsylvania. She later went on to graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Animal Science. Since moving to the Chicago area, Allison spent her free time volunteering at the Hinsdale Humane Society where she adopted Bailey, a lovely All-American mixed breed pup. It is Bailey that sparked Allison’s interest in dog training and in dog agility.

For eight years, Allison volunteered with and was a board member of a local breed rescue. Her and her husband adopted three English Pointers—Oliver, Ivy, and Ewan. They currently compete in Agility, Rally Obedience, and field events. After running a doggie daycare for two years, Allison became a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. She then started her own company—Pointing the Way—to help dog owners enjoy their dogs!

In August of 2008, combining her background in science with her passion to improve the quality of life in her pets, Allison became certified in Canine Myotherapy through Midstates Myotherapy.

Allison continues to expand her knowledge by working for an animal chiropractor as well as attending classes and seminars in animal health and body work.
